Terms of Service

1.1 Service Scope: We provide professional roofing services including but not limited to: slate roofing, tiled roofing, fibreglass roofing, EPDM rubber roofing, cold liquid applied roofing, waterproofing, and emergency repairs.

1.2 Quality Standards: All work is carried out to British Standards and Building Regulations. We use quality materials and employ fully qualified, insured operatives.

1.3 Variations: Any changes to the agreed scope of work must be confirmed in writing and may affect the total cost and completion time.

2.1 Free Quotations: We provide free, no-obligation quotations for all roofing projects. Quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

2.2 Pricing: All prices quoted include VAT where applicable. Material costs may be subject to change if there are significant delays in project commencement.

2.3 Additional Work: Any work not specified in the original quotation will be charged separately at our standard rates.

3.1 Payment Schedule: For larger projects, we may require a deposit upon commencement with the balance due upon completion. Specific payment terms will be outlined in your quotation.

3.2 Payment Methods: We accept cash, bank transfer, and card payments. Cheques must clear before work commences.

3.3 Late Payment: Overdue payments may incur interest charges at 8% above Bank of England base rate.

4.1 Workmanship Guarantee: We provide guarantees on our workmanship. Specific terms vary by service type and will be detailed in your quotation.

4.2 Material Warranties: Manufacturer warranties apply to all materials used. We will assist with warranty claims where applicable.

4.3 Guarantee Conditions: Guarantees are void if work is altered by third parties or damaged by extreme weather events beyond normal wear and tear.

5.1 Insurance: We carry comprehensive public liability insurance (£10M+) and professional indemnity cover.

5.2 Site Safety: We conduct risk assessments and follow all relevant health and safety regulations. Client cooperation is required for site access and safety measures.

5.3 Utilities: Clients must identify and mark all underground services. We are not liable for damage to unmarked utilities.

6.1 Client Cancellation: Projects may be cancelled with 48 hours written notice. Costs for materials already ordered and work completed will be charged.

6.2 Weather Delays: Work may be delayed due to adverse weather conditions. We will reschedule at the earliest safe opportunity.

6.3 Access Issues: Delays caused by lack of access or client changes may result in additional charges.

7.1 Limitation of Liability: Our liability is limited to the value of the contract. We are not liable for consequential or indirect losses.

7.2 Property Damage: We take every precaution to prevent property damage. Any damage caused by our negligence will be rectified at our cost.

7.3 Existing Conditions: We are not liable for pre-existing structural issues or building defects discovered during work.

8.1 Dispute Resolution: We encourage resolution of any disputes through direct communication. If required, disputes will be handled through mediation or arbitration.

8.2 Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

8.3 Severability: If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remainder shall remain in full effect.
